Škoda Peaq 2026: 63 or 91 kWh, seven seats and 28-minute charging

The Škoda Peaq is already listed on the Hungarian brand website, but buyers must distinguish the globally announced technical data from local prices and specifications. Peaq 60 is the smaller-battery version, Peaq 90 combines the larger battery with rear-wheel drive, and Peaq 90x adds all-wheel drive. This guide summarises what could be verified officially on 11 August 2026 and what still needs checking in the Hungarian configurator or with a dealer before ordering.

Confirmed fact: unveiled on 23 June 2026, Peaq is Škoda's first all-electric large SUV and will be offered with five or seven seats. The manufacturer documents the MEB+ platform, two NMC batteries and three powertrain versions. Manufacturer claim: Peaq 90 has a WLTP range above 640 km. Editorial conclusion: Hungarian buyers should not think in terms of one generic 'Peaq range'; battery, drivetrain and exact equipment all need to be considered together.

What is already confirmed for Hungary?

On 11 August 2026, Škoda's Hungarian website listed Peaq among its electric models and provided routes to the configurator, test drives and dealers. This confirms local sales preparation, but it does not mean every globally presented drivetrain, package or colour will become orderable in Hungary at the same time or with identical content. Always verify the final price, standard equipment, production timing and delivery date in the current Hungarian offer.

Peaq 60, 90 or 90x: which technical base suits you?

  • Peaq 60: 63 kWh gross and 59 kWh net battery, 150 kW, 350 Nm, rear-wheel drive, 160 km/h top speed and more than 450 km manufacturer WLTP range.
  • Peaq 90: 91 kWh gross and 86 kWh net battery, 210 kW, 545 Nm, rear-wheel drive, 180 km/h top speed and more than 640 km manufacturer WLTP range.
  • Peaq 90x: 91/86 kWh battery, 220 kW, all-wheel drive, 180 km/h top speed and more than 610 km manufacturer WLTP range.

Versions 60 and 90 use a permanent-magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle; 90x adds an asynchronous front motor. The stated ranges are comparative WLTP figures, not guaranteed road results. Speed, temperature, wheel size, payload, heating and towing can all change real consumption significantly.

What does 10–80% in 27–28 minutes mean?

Škoda states that the 59 kWh net battery can charge from 10 to 80% in 27 minutes and the 86 kWh net battery in 28 minutes at a suitable DC rapid charger. These are manufacturer figures tied to optimal test conditions. They do not mean the car holds one peak power throughout the session: the charging curve changes with state of charge and battery temperature.

On a long trip, 10–80% time is more useful than the maximum kW printed on a charger. Plan a working CCS station that can deliver suitable power without a large detour. In cold weather, use the vehicle's route planning and battery preconditioning functions if they are included in the selected Hungarian specification.

Five or seven seats: read boot capacity with the layout

Peaq is 4.87 metres long, has a wheelbase of nearly three metres and comes with five or seven seats. Škoda quotes 935 litres of luggage capacity for the five-seat configuration and a 37-litre front compartment. The 935-litre number should not be applied automatically to a seven-seater used with all three rows raised.

During a family test drive, sit in all three rows, set the second row for the actual passengers and then inspect the remaining luggage space. Check ISOFIX points, access and room behind the tailgate with the seat count you intend to order, not from a press photograph.

Towing, heat pump and bidirectional charging: which option matters?

According to Škoda, Peaq 60 and 90 can tow up to 1,800 kg with a braked trailer, while Peaq 90x reaches 2,000 kg; the tow bar is optional on all three. The next-generation heat pump is also optional, so do not assume it is present when planning for winter use. Towing can cut range materially, meaning caravans and trailers require their own charging plan.

Peaq supports V2L for external loads and V2H with the manufacturer's Ambibox DC Wallbox system. This does not mean it can feed a home through any wallbox. Hungarian grid, metering and approval rules, compatible hardware and installation must be clarified separately with a qualified electrician and the service provider.

Display and safety: what is standard and what may be optional?

The factory press kit lists a 13.6-inch portrait Android-based centre display, ten airbags, and standard Front Assist, Crossroad Assist, Turn Assist and Side Assist. Travel Assist 3.0, Top Area View 360° and Intelligent Park Assist may be optional. Equipment names and packages can differ by market, so check the Hungarian offer line by line.

Check these seven points before ordering

  • the exact Peaq 60, 90 or 90x version and both gross and net battery capacity;
  • the five- or seven-seat layout and your real luggage requirement;
  • the Hungarian WLTP figure with the selected wheels and equipment;
  • DC charging data, battery preconditioning and the supplied AC cable;
  • the actual presence of the heat pump, tow bar and bidirectional charging functions;
  • standard and optional driver-assistance systems;
  • the complete Hungarian price, warranty, expected build date and delivery date in writing.

In short: promising hardware, but the Hungarian specification decides

On paper, Peaq combines a large battery, long manufacturer range, fast 10–80% charging and a genuine seven-seat option. The decisive question is which drivetrains, seating layouts and options appear in the Hungarian price list. This is a new model likely to remain under manufacturer warranty: for faults or compatibility questions, the first route is a Škoda authorised workshop and a factory check by VIN, not a search for used parts.
